Romer leg irons

Here is a very rare set of Romer leg irons. Romer was a padlock company.
 

These shackles have a nice brown patina, a longish chain of short straight links,and a rather complicated flat key. 

They were listed for $2,000 or best offer, and it appears that an offer was accepted.
