Froggatt Darby Handcuffs

 

Here is a nice Darby handcuff from Froggatt. It sold for $121.39 after 17 bids. 

It has a makers mark on each cuff as well as HARD and the key is marked 47. Look at that hinge. You couldn't fit a paper in that hinge. 

It looks like these were plated but now it's primarily a soft patina. 

Close up of the end cap of my own Froggatt Darby Handcuffs. Mine are unmarked, but I base my knowledge on them on the key, the hinge shape, and the end cap design/dimensions. 

This set was the topic of an earlier post. I bought it for $160 just about two months ago. They have a very developed patina of rich chocolate brown.
