Above, a rare pair of back strap Darby handcuffs from Hiatt. This hinge design was used prior to the more recent design with the pinned or riveted hinge. This was a 'tail' off the cuff itself which was bent double to create a pivot point for the locking bar to attach to.
These are very rare, but they only sold for £44.00 or $59.38 with 17 bids. I would have bought these if I didn't already have ten Darby handcuffs.
