Five Hundred Views!
Thanks to you, I'm happy to say that my blog has had 500 views now.
This is certainly a niche hobby, and an unusual sort of collection. These are objects that most people will never see, or even think about. Some people may consider such items with disdain, if they think of them at all.
Then there are others of us who find the sight of a collection display board with myriad different types of restraints or a pile of cuffs and shackles to be a curiously fascinating sight to behold. Some of us collect because history itself is evident, tangible in these designs. Some of us appreciate the intricate, clockwork-like mechanisms which still function a century or more after they were made. Some of us find these inanimate objects, or the experience of being subjected to them, to be somehow inescapably erotic, and repurpose them as fetishes for sensual use.
Curios, artifacts, toys, torture devices, tools... Whatever you consider them to be, many of these could be displayed in any number of museums; civil war, police, history, military, prison, living history, etcetera.
I hope soon to have the time to work on the "Pages" portion of my blog. There have been enough items passing through eBay that I've been busy with those, but the engagement encourages me to work on more. Thank you for visiting.
