Cummings Handcuffs

Here is a very nice pair of Cummings Handcuffs. These are quite rare. I saw a number of pairs back years ago but none recently until these.

The starting bid is $9.99 with one key and there is a reserve price.
UPDATE: these SOLD for $167.50 after 3 bids.

These handcuffs are unique because they have Cummings patented "spurs" or grips on either side or the cuff just outside of the clevis.

The purpose of this is to easily allow the cuffs to be opened and then closed with one hand. There are activating buttons ala Edward Beans designs, and integrated swivels in the clevises. There is one long chain link.

John F. Cumming filed patent #628,139A for his improved handcuff design in 1899.
