Trio of leg irons

This three pair lot features leg irons from American Munitions Company (the precursor to American Handcuff Company), Valor, (one of the earliest Taiwanese manufacturers to reach the American civilian market) and the real gem here, a pair of H and R Super Leg Irons from Harrington and Richardson.

The current bid is $242.50 with just under 24 hours remaining.

UPDATE: these sold for $463.88 after 18 bids.

Above, close up detail of the unique design of the Super Cuffs and the unique lock case. It's unfortunate these don't come with a key; see earlier posts for examples of the key. It doesn't appear too difficult to replicate, being essentially a hollow steel tube of a given inner and outer diameter with two notches of a given size cut in the tip.
Above, the Valor leg irons. These are quality double locking swing through ratcheting cuffs without mirror imaging (there is no "left" or "right" cuff) which use a standard key.
I actually have a fondness for these as the very first real restraints I ever obtained were Valor handcuffs with a black finish and leg irons exactly like these.
Valor primarily sold to the adult market as well as security. Law enforcement and corrections in America favors the American brands Smith and Wesson, Peerless, or ASP, although I have seen at least one police arrest video where these were used.
Above, the third pair is rounding out the lot is a heavy duty leg iron from American Munitions Company. At this time they primarily sold to the military. It was only after the company began to sell to the police and civilian market that the design evolved into the beautiful Pinnacle of modern style restraints that is the AHC N-105, L-100, N-520, N-500, N-550, as well as their lightweight "A" designated aluminum counterparts, and the massive L-600 which was later replicated by Chicago Handcuff Company (Handcuff Warehouse) as their Chicago Boot Cuff (model 2500).

For reference, see below my own pair of H & R Super Leg Irons (fully working but poor condition nickel plating) which was about $350 with one key. I found another key on eBay for $46 which works well.

Also pictured, my Valor leg irons. These are the first leg irons I ever got and the pair I've had for the longest. Actually, this is the personal possession which I have had the longest. The Valor handcuffs had a poor quality black finish which chipped and wore away with use. I eventually sanded them which gave them an interesting raw steel aesthetic, but rust eventually set in and I broke them.
