Hamburg 8 Handcuffs

 

This mint condition Hamburg 8 with original key and box sold for $255 after 7 bids. 

The Hamburg 8 is a unique design which, when not in use, can be opened without the key. By folding the cuff in half, the locking tab is aligned with a notch which allows the shackles to open. When worn, the cuffs of course can not be folded in half this way. 

The key is a simple fluted press key. While the restrictive nature of this design would make it very very difficult to escape, the lock mechanism itself is fairly low security. 

I have some hamburg lock restraints from KUB but not the Hamburg 8 design.
