Towers Double Lock Handcuffs with bar

 

This is a very rare set of Towers Double Lock Handcuffs with a rigid spreader bar that certain appears to be factory. The seller reports a 21" width although it is unclear whether this is the length or the bar or the entire device.  It does look rather long. 

These came with one key and sold for $858 after 19 bids. 

The only spreader bar handcuffs I have are a modern Hiatt Alloy adjustable Darby handcuff with a 12" bar, and the truth is it's just not long enough to provide any real security advantage, as the hands can still reach the opposite cuffs.

Also, 100th post! I've enjoyed doing this project. Documenting the restraints gives me almost as much satisfaction as actually buying them, and I can't keep adding to my collection indefinitely; I actually have about 100 restraints in my collection, although many of these are not rare or collectable.
