American Handcuff Company N-400

 

This is one of the rarest restraints from AHC. This hinged handcuff has a unique three bar linkage which uses ball and socket joints at the cuff connection. This was intended to allow a modicum of flexibility while still preventing keyhole access. 

This pair sold for $127.50 after 23 bids. With the original box and paperwork. 

I'm a bit surprised these didn't sell for more. I've seen maybe one more of these over the last five years. The recent N-200 which went to auction went for over $200, nevermind the $40 pair some lucky collector got. 

Of all the AHC stuff that has sold recently, the L-600 for $25 would have been my pick.
