Very unusual Plug Handcuffs

This amazingly rare plug 8 style restraint has an unusual rigid bar between the two cuffs. The key appears primitive; I initially thought this was a new fake until I looked closer.

The plug tube appears similar to many other quality plug style cuffs. Typically they are immediately connected together with no space or chain, like an Irish 8.

This possibly one of a kind restraint sold for £1,040 or $1,407.33 after 13 bids.

UPDATE: RELISTED for £1,020

Above, note how the center of the top portion slots into the lower part. This is a very heavy duty cuff. Plug Handcuffs are so named because there is usually (I don't see one here?) a sort of secondary security lock. Typically one end of the key is used to screw down the captive nut inside the tube onto the threaded 'male' part. Then, an externally threaded disc, cap or 'plug' is screwed into the keyway to block it from tampering. This is done with the opposite end of the key, but this key doesn't have the proper design for that. This may an earlier prototype without a plug. I really know very little about this type of design.
