Chubb Escort Handcuffs

This is a premium high security restraint made by Chubb, a security company which was based in Wolverhampton, England, which at the time was the center of the British lock making industry.

These sold for $772 after 21 bids. One original key included.

Chubb made most locks for the British Prison Service, and filled the niche for high security handcuffs while the majority of police were using Hiatt handcuffs by this time. Chubb used their AVA cylinder which required a key to lock as well as unlock. This was essentially pick proof at the time.

They also made padlocks which clearly influenced the design choices for the handcuffs. Note the complex key design and the high quality swivel.
