Bean Bar Cuffs
This is an interesting, rare variant of the Bean Prison or Patrolman. The two cuffs are connected with a solid steel bar of what looks like about 8 to 10 inches.
Typically, when bar variety restraints were made, they were connected with either O rings, as Hiatt used, or a solid connection which was able to swivel. Combined with the clevis of the Bean handcuffs here, which allow movement in one plane, these allow more movement than modern rigid or hinged handcuffs, but less than comparable spreader bar handcuffs such as my Hiatt alloy spreader bar handcuffs, which, with their use of O rings to connect, are able to move freely about each end of the bar.
Current bid is $202.50 and I imagine it will go close to $300. There is one key which appears original.
UPDATE: these sold for $355 after 6 bids.
Below, detail of the locking notches which function like ratchets with the pawls inside the lock body.

The general consensus among collectors in a Facebook page was that these are NOT FACTORY.
